BRYAN KEE

How my heart was changed

Hi! My name is Bryan Kee and I'm about to bore you silly but read on anyway. I'm a student at Jordanstown and this is a wee piece of my life to date.

I was brought up near a little village called Stewartstown in county Tyrone, quite near the Lough. I went to school in Stewartstown, was sent by my parents to church. I don't actually remember much 'cause I never listened to anything either in church, Sunday school or in primary school. It just was some annoying thing I had to do!

When I left Primary School I went on to Cookstown High School where I was introduced to many new things like simultaneous equations and French! But also many good things like hockey, computers and I made many new friends. It was at a youth weekend in Coleraine when for the first time, what I heard from the leaders, really made me sit-up and listen. I was scared about living and dying without Jesus. About a month after that I became a Christian.

Things have been no bed of roses since that night; I have had my ups and downs. The Christian life is a difficult one, yet through it all I have known about the love of a Rescuer who gave himself up to die, so that I could have freedom and security forever, and I am eternally grateful.

I've been married to Louise (a doctor) for over a year now, am living in Glasgow and studying on the Cornhill Training Course, a course designed to equip me to better explain the good news of Jesus
