Why am I a Christian? WHY NOT? That’s the question I have for you if you’re reading this and aren’t a Christian!! I made the best decision of my life when I was 12 years old. It was after a weekend away where they told me that it’s not about the way you live your life but about believing and trusting that Jesus died on the cross for everyone, for the rebellion we have against God, wanting to be kings of our own lives, to take away the punishment we deserve -and I thank God for that everyday. It’s about being reconciled to your maker!!
I’m a Christian because of the universal fact and truth of what the Bible says, and am sticking at it because it gives the ultimate purpose and meaning to life that everyone is looking for and should have. It’s not always easy but with prayer, sticking to what God has to say to me and everyone through his word (the Bible) it’s the only way it could ever be. As it says in that awesome film ‘The Shawshank Redemption’, “fear can hold you prisoner, hope can set you free”. Well, put your eternal hope in Christ Jesus who I pray will keep me true to His word to the end, along with the confidence to tell others this awesome truth.
